Hey Girls! Every now and then you get a letter that's too wonderful not to share...I have this gorgeous niece with more style in her pinkie finger then most and gobs of attitude to boot. I adore her and yesterday she sent me this note. I've left her anonymous, but yes she is single and she is spectacular. For all of you curious men who may be reading this....forget it. Unless I know you , you'll never get her info from me:) At any rate, of course I've been able to answer her question, so read below and have some fun!
Aunt Beth,
I have looked at Victoria's Secret and its SO COMMERCIAL. I have a question, do you know of any company that sells like classy flirty sexy lingerie? Like the kind Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn would wear? I'm bored with VS and I can't seem to find anything online that's not foreign or like $600. This is sad to me!
Love your niece
Darling,
I get it completely. VS is so yesterday and Fredericks of Hollywood is so too obvious. I've got several suggestions. First, if you've got La Perla taste and a VS budget then you should go to straight to Gilt Groupe , get an account and check out the totally fabulous sales there. (Many thanks to one of my other fabulous nieces for turning me onto this thoroughly guilty pleasure) My other suggestion? Head straight over to The best of Etsy Lingerie and show some of these talented designers some love. If you're not familiar with Etsy, I promise that you'll love it, because it's full of utterly wonderful handmade things by some pretty talented designers! I especially love Hopeless Lingerie which is where I think that you should begin your search.
Then if you're really wanting a bit of lace reminiscent of a naughty London weekend click over to Gilda and Pearl , another wonderful Etsy store for the most delightful black silk bows:)
Feast your eyes sweetie and let me know what you find! And for the rest of you...yes I know that there are some men lurking, how about some Dita? Just remember to pause my ipod so you can get the full effect!
And remember to always wear your pearls girls!
